This site is delivered as a static website; no personal data is stored in a database. It is served via the hosting provider Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you access the site, Cloudflare automatically collects and stores so-called server log files transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, referrer URL, as well as browser and operating system information.
This data is used exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation and IT security, and is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the operation and security of the website). Log files are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
Since Cloudflare is a company based in the USA, processing of this data may also take place outside the EU/EEA (third-country transfer). Cloudflare contractually commits to complying with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) as an appropriate safeguard for an adequate level of data protection. Some interactive tools on this platform store progress locally in cookies (e.g. the Power Plant Simulator, the Chimera Generator, the Star System Builder), so that results are preserved on your next visit. No data is transmitted to third parties. Since these cookies are purely technically necessary and have no tracking function, no separate consent is required under § 25(2) TTDSG (German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Fonts, scripts, and all other resources on this site are served exclusively from our own server. No third-party services (e.g. Google Fonts, analytics, or tracking tools) that would transmit data to third parties are used.
Under Art. 15–21 GDPR, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you, as well as, where applicable, the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, and data portability. Please contact the address given above.
